Visitors eagerly anticipating the opening of Las Vegas’ most buzzworthy new attraction won’t have to wait any longer. The first riders are welcome to board the High Roller beginning today at 1 p.m. Tickets are now on sale here online as well as at the stunning LINQ district, and range from $24.95 for a daytime ride and $34.95 for nighttime. Multiple ticket packages are available including one and three-day flex passes for multiple rides, and the 40-person cabins can be rented out for private parties (complete with catering and a bartender!) as well.

An official christening event will be held at 11:30 a.m today to commemorating the inaugural rides and the completion of the wheel, which first broke ground in February 2012.

Ready to ride? The 30-minute experience is truly breathtaking, with a bird’s-eye view as it turns, showcasing a 360-degree view and aerial Strip scenes. Nervous about being 550 feet up? Don’t worry—the world’s tallest observation wheel only moves at one foot per second, so even those wary of heights will enjoy the smooth ride. The High Roller is open 365 days per year and just like Las Vegas, it never stops moving.

As Las Vegas’ newest sparkling attraction, the High Roller and The LINQ are just steps away from Strip-center action. Just across the street from Caesars Palace, it’s adjacent to Flamingo Las Vegas and The Quad resorts. It’s situated between two monorail stops, but also features plenty of self parking and a valet next to the ticket office.

Hi Terry, it’s good for one ride only, but the benefits are you don’t have to select a time to ride and you can skip the line.

Hi Donna, yes you will most likely have to share a pod with others. with the wheel having just opened, each pod is filling up quite a lot of people to cycle through. you may rent out a private pod for a fee!

Hey Emma – great news! Do you know if the Diamond/Seven Stars folks get to skip the line (as with the buffets, etc.)?
    Thanks!

  12. Emma Trotter

Hi Alix, they don’t! But there is the Express Pass you can buy, which provides skipping the line.
