The Magical Table 56

We can’t resist stopping by the Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Paris Las Vegas from time to time. Friendly, unpretentious staff? Check. Stunning decor? Check.

Insider tip: Though they appear to be, the plates are not actually edible.

Among its many appealing qualities, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant just seems to have this…vibe. It’s a little hard to describe, but let’s just say there’s a reason some evenings at the restaurant are a non-stop cavalcade of marriage proposals. Bottom line: Romance has set up shop at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Yes, this charming couple said we could use their picture. Thanks for the concern.

Aside from the incredible offerings on the menu, one of the things adding to the romantic (intoxicating?) mood has to be the selection of signature cocktails, several of which we definitely didn’t try because we’re pretty sure we shouldn’t be trying signature cocktails while we’re working. But if we HAD tried several of them, we’d have loved the Autumn in Paris, with Anjou pear vodka, Pineau des Charentes, pear puree and fresh sweet and sour.

This is the precise Autumn in Paris cocktail we did not try despite it being incredibly delicious.

The other signature cocktail we didn’t partake of, that was utterly fantastic, was the Eiffel Affair, with blueberry vodka, creme de cassis, cointreau, rose nectar, champagne and fresh berries.

But you can read about atmosphere and mouthwatering cocktails anywhere. Here, you demand scoop. So, here it is. The next time you’re in the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, ask about Table 56.

Table 56 looks like any other table. Round. Plates and glasses. Tablecloth. Two chairs.

This photo of Table 56 is so exclusive, it's the only one of its kind on the Interwebs. We checked.

Looks, however, can be deceiving! Table 56 is, by our estimation, the most coveted table in Las Vegas. Its position, on the Strip-facing side of the restaurant, set in a secluded corner, against two floor-to-ceiling windows, provides the most dazzling view of the Strip (including a bird’s eye view of those world-famous dancing fountains) one can have while consuming fine food and NOT sipping cocktails containing nectar extracted from milk-fed roses. (That milk-fed thing is probably something we just made up.)

We would have taken a photo of the view from magical Table 56, but photographic technology is, at this juncture in history, incapable of capturing something so stunning.

How does one get to dine at Table 56? We honestly have no clue. Being a cute couple that’s getting engaged might have some pull. Schmoozing the hostesses might also not be a bad idea. Got any incantations? Hey, whatever works.

That said, even if you don’t wrangle Table 56, you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas, so stop by soon. And make sure to imbibe in several of those signature cocktails, just like we didn’t.

Maybe celebrating a 37th wedding anniversary would qualify us for Table 56?
    Oh and speaking French?

I’d say yes, Nikki! And here’s a little tip for snagging Table 56: Ask for Lyle. (Known as @EiffelLyle on Twitter.) He’s got all kinds of pull at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, and we’re betting he can hook you up, as long as you give him sufficient notice. Oh, and this weekend, we finally got a chance to take a photo of that Table 56 view: http://blog.totalrewards.com/las-vegas//wp-content/uploads/2010/09/eiffel_tower_view1.jpg

My wonderful husband arranged everything for our 25th Anniversary celebration. “Everything” included Table 56, a dozen roses, photo, a fantastic dinner, the “Jersey Boys” show, and a tour of the tower. It was truly a magical night!
