Today’s Vegas Hook-Up: Free, Free and More Free

Posted Tuesday, October 12, 2010 by in Las Vegas Casinos, Las Vegas Restaurants, Paris Las Vegas. 4 Comments.

Remember that “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” movie, and at one point, Max has to spin this “Wheel of Horrific Punishment” to determine his fate? (Bonus points if you remember what he landed on.)

Anyway, today’s hook-up is just like that wheel, except that it involves beer and free food, rather than, you know, death and dismemberment! The Vegas version of the wheel can be found at Le Burger Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas. (Home of the $777 burger, by the way.)

The word "free" tends to make this blog a little giddy.

To get your spin, just purchase one of two things you were going to get anyway. Either the 100 oz. “Beer Tube” (just $24 domestic, $30 for imports), or the “Man Bucket” (consisting of 12 Miller products, $40).

The prizes run the gamut, including free shots, free appetizers, free desserts and even the possibility of getting a 100% discount on your entire bill. Yay, free!

Oh, just another mind-blowingly succulent burger at Le Burger Brasserie.

As if the “Wheel of Awesome Freeness” (we just made that up) weren’t exciting enough, we must also mention that Le Burger Brasserie has a great happy hour going on, although technically, it doesn’t just last an hour. It runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. until closing.

Monday, it’s 2-for-1 Captain drinks (SFX: sound of a Las Vegas blog swooning), $1 drafts and 50-cent wings. On Tuesday, get 25-cent cocktails (no, not a typo). Wednesday, it’s half-off all drinks. Thursday, get $3 Skyy drinks, $3 Coronas and two sliders for $3. Happy hour on Friday and Saturday feature $3 beer, $5 cocktails and $7 cheeseburgers. Sunday, it’s $14 60 oz. pitchers, $20 Beer Tubes (100 oz.) and $40 “Man Buckets” (any 12 Miller products).

Le Burger Brasserie has officially put the “happy” in “happy hour.”

It lands on Gulag. They tie him to a horse backwards, and put a giant mask on his head and send him into the desert. Bust a deal face the wheel!

AKM, you rock! Nailed it. One of our favorite movies.

Just spend $24; $30 or $40 and you get a free spin! So how is that free?

In Vegas, “free” is usually in quotation marks! Point taken, though, thanks.
