Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub Plans A Splashy Memorial Day Weekend Opening
The next wave of luxe Las Vegas partying officially hits Memorial Day Weekend, when Drai’s Beach Club • Nightclub opens on the rooftop of The Cromwell. “The club itself is going to be such a movie star,” Victor Drai said. “It will be kicking off summer, but for now we have to save some of the opening secrets.”
Now under construction, The Cromwell is the first stand-alone boutique hotel on the Strip. With influential visionary and nightlife veteran Drai behind the hotel’s multi-sensory day and nightlife component, it will surely strike gold. His cult favorite Drai’s After Hours lounge is also returning to its original space with a slight refreshing.
Visual, sensual and social, both the indoor and outdoor spaces will have a striking attention to detail. Drai is currently promising 150 tables for the 65,000-square-foot nightclub (75 each indoors and outdoors) and is set on straying away from booking big-name electronic music DJs. For the daytime component, ten VIP bungalows and luxury cabanas, each containing their own pools, offers guests privacy while being in the midst of all the action. The mezzanine level will contain 15 VIP cabanas and a third pool with five private VIP bungalows overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard. Expect more than 40 daybeds for prime pool deck seating.
But Drai’s anticipated new party destination is not a rushed vision. He admits he’s been eyeing the space for nearly two decades, long planning to create a glamorous bacchanalia that ups the ante for Las Vegas nightlife. Think panoramic Strip views, beautiful décor with pops of color, several different pool areas, and towering palm trees dotted with jetsetters soaking up the sun or dancing under the stars.
Taking advantage of its location 11 stories up, Drai is also implementing a Firework menu, where guests who spend $5,000-$100,000 can select a firework to shoot off at night at a time they choose.
